The renowned Paris fashion week has drawn to a close. Fashion designers, and brands gathered to display their latest creations. A dynamic event which attracted a multitude of buyers, interested in keeping up with ‘what’s hot and what’s not’, on the catwalk this season. Let’s take a look at the styles, which are hot in this year’s Fall/winter collection.
Inspired by women’s obsession with handbags, Louis Vuitton’s collection revolved around a fetish / Madame theme, with maids and bellboys. Kate Moss, debuted, with a rubberized, lace jacket, teamed with hot pants, rubber boots and a cigarette. The collection featured handcuffs, hot pants, leather, lace and sheer masked hats. Mannish tweed jackets, re-shaped to suit the hourglass figure were combined with 40′s style printed dresses.
The Alexander McQueen collection, created by Sarah Burton was titled “The Ice Queen and Her Court”. The well structured, textured and beautifully tailored pieces were mainly black, grey and white, but with some garments in lavender and baby blue. The white gowns and coats oozed purity, whilst the black leather harnessing and lace encapsulated the warrior – like, medieval themes, which hinted at the darker nature of sexuality.

Chanel’s collection was inspired by a “fire and brimstone” theme combined with notable classic Chanel elements. The collection featured, black cardigan jackets on top of black shirts with vamp-ish, floor length capes, embellished with black crystals and solid work boots with loose trousers tucked into tweed gaiters.
